The 300 ICW4 In-wall/In-ceiling loudspeaker is the sleekest, compact model in the 300 Series line. Its discreet design gives it an amazing size/sensitivity ratio. This 2-way component speaker constitutes of a 4″ (10cm) woofer with a Flax cone and an aluminium/magnesium alloy inverted dome tweeter. Focal’s exclusive Flax technology is based on a flax-based eco-textile. The Flax cone is composed of a flax structure sandwiched between two sheets of glass fibres, giving it unrivalled rigidity considering its lightness. They’re worthy of the famous W cones used in the Utopia III, Sopra and Electra 1000 Be 2 lines, and produce sound with stunning neutrality and definition.

All the speaker driver cones of the 300 SERIES range are made using Flax sandwich technology. Flax is an eco-textile with astounding structural properties: it is light, rigid and well-damped for rendering greater neutrality of the timbre and better definition. TNV2 Tweeter built for these products uses Focal’s exclusive inverted dome technology, facilitating optimal energy transfer and limited directivity.

Simple Composition Minus Any Complexity
 

Each 300 ICW has two key components: a mounting frame and a loudspeaker. The mounting frame is fixed to the wall or ceiling using mounting brackets which can be manipulated single-handedly. Once the frame has been fixed securely in place, the loudspeaker can be assembled to the mounting frame, in no time, thanks to a quarter-turn locking mechanism. The magnetic grilles supplied with each product are perfect for a hassle-free assembly. With respect to design, all the products of the 300 Series line come with two types of grilles: a square grille and a circular one, to ensure they blend in perfectly with your interior. Another key aspect of the design is that the grilles are frameless, making them even more discreet and aesthetically appealing.
